Sustainability

Empowering The Globe

As a global corporate citizen, we align innovation with sustainable global progress.

Responsibleby design.

Responsibility at iFortis Worldwide is measured in outcomes, not intentions. We put opportunity within reach of people who need it, hold our operations to real environmental and social standards, and build technology that serves the communities it touches. Every commitment on this page is one we can evidence.

Why the portfolio exists

A better world is built together.

Corporate responsibility that reaches beyond the balance sheet, into the communities where the work actually lands.

We do not believe in creating dependency. We believe in creating capability.

  • 01

    Enable people

Opportunity, skills and capability placed within reach of those who are furthest from access.

  • 02

    Strengthen communities

Investment that stays where the work happens, so progress becomes part of the place.

  • 03

    Advance enterprises

Responsibility and growth treated as one system, not a trade-off to be balanced later.

  • 04

    Protect the planet

Cleaner operations across energy, materials and movement, accounting for the whole footprint.

Purpose becomes meaningful when it becomes action.

Planet

Environmental sustainability across energy, materials and operations.

Cleaner energy awareness, sustainable agriculture, responsible consumption, reduced plastic use, marine conservation and more conscious operations. Sustainability is not about moving the problem somewhere else. It is about taking responsibility for the whole system.

Principle

Impact that can be seen, measured and carried forward.

Each programme identifies the goal it was designed to advance, the goals it contributes to and the progress recorded through delivery. The ambition is global. The accountability is personal.

Impact in numbers

The iFortis Worldwide Impact

Our social impact is tracked the way we track enterprise performance: by what is delivered, not what is promised. The figures below record real outcomes across learners, professionals, entrepreneurs, communities and partner organisations, each one an output measured at the point of delivery.

Standards and commitments

Memberships and affiliations

Commitments are only useful if they change how a company buys, hires and runs its events. These are the ones iFortis Worldwide has put its name to, alongside the forums where the work is presented and tested.

In delivery

What the commitments oblige

A signature only matters if it changes how the company buys, hires and runs its events. These are the practices that carry the commitments into the work.

How the work is organised

One standard, every area

Programmes are grouped by the change they are built to create. The goals they touch follow from that, not the other way around.

#EmpoweringTheGlobe

The road to 2030

2030 is the year the United Nations set for the goals, so it is the year this portfolio is planned against. Every commitment below is drawn from the forward plan recorded for each goal in the iFortis Worldwide SDG Portfolio. The phasing is ours; the commitments are the company's own.

Scale what already works

Two things at once: build the foundation, by strengthening measurement, programme governance and goal mapping, and scale what already works. The programmes with proven reach get wider distribution rather than redesign, so most of the work here is logistics: more cohorts, more languages, more delivery locations, against curricula that already exist.

  • Expand access to education and skills development through digital platforms
  • Expand gender equality programmes across all regions and industries
  • Scale job creation and training globally into emerging sectors
  • Expand job creation and micro finance access for rural populations
  • Scale organic farming education globally, focused on food security in underserved regions
  • Continue healthcare sponsorship for vulnerable populations
  • Expand sanitation infrastructure in rural and underserved communities
  • Expand diversity and inclusion work globally, keeping access to opportunity equal

Make the reach durable through partnership

Reach only lasts when someone else carries it. This horizon moves the work from programmes iFortis runs to programmes governments, employers and local institutions run with us, which is also where the goals stop being reportable by one company alone.

  • Build partnerships with companies to raise women's participation in leadership
  • Partner with governments and organisations to scale renewable energy
  • Continue partnerships with businesses that drive employment and innovation
  • Build partnerships with local governments for more resilient communities
  • Collaborate with governments and NGOs to protect vulnerable ecosystems
  • Expand women led agricultural ventures globally
  • Expand clean energy programmes and energy access in off grid areas
  • Offer more specialised training programmes
  • Expand marine conservation globally, focusing on coral reefs and endangered species

Change the conditions

The last stretch is aimed at the conditions that make these programmes necessary in the first place: how goods are produced, how land is used, how institutions account for themselves. This is the horizon where success looks like a smaller portfolio.

  • Promote circular economies through recycling and waste reduction
  • Strengthen policy on plastic reduction and ocean protection through partnerships
  • Encourage land regeneration techniques that prevent soil degradation and desertification
  • Expand smart city initiatives powered by renewable energy
  • Promote blockchain for transparency, efficiency and sustainability
  • Advocate for stronger institutions through transparency, accountability and inclusivity
  • Reduce income inequality through economic empowerment and education
  • Continue cross sector collaboration to accelerate the goals

Environment

Reduce waste. Do not relocate it

Every digital organisation has a physical footprint. Compute requires energy. Data requires infrastructure. Hardware requires materials. People require movement. Events create waste. Responsible growth begins by acknowledging the full system.

Wind turbines across farmland at dusk

#NETZERO

Clean energy awareness and renewable adoption, led by youth, with eco friendly partnerships carrying it into community development.

#UNPOWER

#MYHOMELAND

Sustainable farming education and herb cultivation, improving food distribution and giving farmers an alternative income.

Your effort has more
to give.

Progress is written by people who choose to act together. Bring capability, reach or hours to a programme already proving its worth in the communities where the work lands.

Volunteer with us

The next generation

The future belongs to everyone

People are the return on responsible business, not a line item beneath it.

Every programme is ultimately about increasing someone's ability to learn, participate, lead, earn, create, contribute or make a difference.

Our approach to sustainability is built around participation. Young people help design the programmes they benefit from. Women move into leadership, not just enrolment. Communities gain the capability to run and sustain solutions themselves. And as an enterprise, we set out to add measurable value, not simply reduce harm.

Sustainability, done well, compounds: it strengthens the people, communities and enterprises that carry the work forward.

Key questions.

What the portfolio covers, how the figures are measured and where the work goes next.

Fifty five programmes across the seventeen UN Sustainable Development Goals, spanning education, skills, healthcare, economic opportunity, clean energy, sustainable operations and community development. Each one is mapped to the goal it primarily advances and the goals it contributes to.

Every figure is recorded at the point of delivery and drawn from what each programme reports, not projected or estimated. Where a number cannot be demonstrated, it is qualified or withdrawn rather than published. The figures are cumulative programme outputs and are not additive across the portfolio.

The goals are used as a framework for understanding where the work contributes, not as decoration. They let anyone see which global outcomes a programme moves, how many programmes carry each goal, and where the portfolio is strongest and where it is still building.

No, and we do not claim otherwise. Some goals are carried by many programmes and others by few. The coverage ledger shows the real distribution, including where a goal is contributed to rather than led. Honest coverage matters more than a full board.

2030 is the year the United Nations set for the goals, so it is the year the portfolio is planned against. The commitments are phased across three horizons, drawn from the forward plan recorded for each goal. The phasing is ours; the commitments are the company's own.

There are three routes: partner to co-design programmes that advance a shared goal, fund a proven initiative to scale its reach, or deliver by bringing capability, reach or infrastructure to the work. The fastest first step is to start a conversation.

Get involved

Build what comes next.

The next chapter will not be written by one company, one technology or one generation. It will be written by people who choose to act together.

Three ways to engage

  • 01 Partner. Co-design programmes that advance a shared goal.
  • 02 Sponsor. Back a proven initiative and scale its reach.
  • 03 Deliver. Bring capability, reach or infrastructure to the work.

How we report

  • Every figure is recorded at the point of delivery, mapped to the goal it advances, and published where it can be demonstrated.

Standards

Principles before promises

  • 01

Build responsibly. Create what creates genuine value, not everything technology makes possible.

  • 02

Design for consequence. Consider the long term effect of every decision, not simply its immediate result.

  • 03

Keep people accountable. Every consequential decision remains connected to human responsibility.

  • 04

Protect what is entrusted. People's data, dignity, opportunity, trust and future.

  • 05

Evidence before assertion. Publish what can be demonstrated.

  • 06

Correct when necessary. Where a claim cannot be substantiated, revise it, qualify it or withdraw it.

  • 07

Leave capability behind. Every transformation should leave people and organisations more capable than before.
